Mrs Bi was hit by a skiploader belonging to family-owned business Hamilton Waste Recycling, based at Wallyford Industrial Estate in Musselburgh.

Director Keir Hamilton said: "Our thoughts are with the woman's family and friends.

"It's been a very distressing time for us all. The driver is in pieces. We've given him some time off and suggested that he seek counselling through his GP."
