Vicky's dad tells families don't give up

The father of Vicky Hamilton says his heart goes out to families still wondering about the fate of their loved ones.

Teenager Vicky disappeared from Bathgate in 1991 and was found buried in Margate, Kent in the garden of one of Peter Tobin's former homes in 2007.

Detectives were today expected to inform relatives that nothing had been found linking him to other killings following a search of two homes and gardens in Brighton.

Michael Hamilton, 60, said: "They will be doing what we did - hoping and praying. We never gave up hope and they shouldn't either. But it's hard.

"We lived through it. That's all they can really do, live through it and hope that some day they can put to rest the loved ones that are missing."

Mr Hamilton added: "It's finished for us now, But I hope they discover everything he's done. What this guy's done is unforgivable."
