Vegetable garden sprouts up for Easter opening

A COMMUNITY vegetable garden created out of wasteland in the north of the city opens its doors on Easter Sunday.

Activists received a 100,000 grant last year to form the Drylaw and Telford Community Gardens Project.

It includes a full-time project manager who runs classes for local people and primary pupils.

The money was received from the Climate Challenge Fund.

On Sunday, residents can enjoy a plant swap stall and information stands. The event runs from 2-4pm at the garden, on Easter Drylaw Way.
