Vandals ruin school garden

VANDALS thought to be as young as 12 years old have destroyed a garden planted by primary school children.

Pupils at Mayfield Primary were heartbroken when they returned from their Easter holidays to find the garden they had created and nurtured for more than a year had been badly vandalised, and three windows at the school had been smashed.

Police have carried out inquiries and are working to trace a group seen at the school at the time the vandalism was carried out between 16 and 19 April.
