Vandalism in decline

THE number of vandal attacks reported in the city fell by nearly a fifth against the three-year average, figures have shown.

A total of 5462 cases of vandalism were reported between April and December last year against the three-year average for the same period, which stood at 6698. Fireraisings in Edinburgh also decreased by 20 per cent over the same time frame.
