US singer to play at hotel

AN AMERICAN singer-songwriter touring the UK will make a one-off stop at a Dunbar hotel next Saturday.

Chris Cook, from Charlotte in North Carolina, who counts Marvin Gaye, Delbert McClinton and The Allman Brothers among his musical inspiration, has previously toured Japan, Europe and the United States.

The singer released his debut album, Heartless Road, in 2001.

The Rossborough Hotel's Carlisle Suite, on Queen's Road, plays host to the gig from 8pm.
