US missiles kill five in Pakistani village

A PAIR of US missile strikes killed five suspected militants in a Pakistani tribal region along the border with Afghanistan yesterday, intelligence officials said. The second strike apparently hit militants retrieving bodies from the first.

The missiles landed in North Waziristan, which is controlled by militant groups battling US and Nato forces in Afghanistan.
