US military confirms Guantanamo death

An AFGHAN prisoner collapsed and died at the Guantanamo Bay detention centre after working out on an exercise machine, the US military has said.

Awal Malim Gul, who was accused of being a Taleban commander and al-Qaeda associate, died at the US Naval Base on Tuesday evening.
