University rooms plans

HERIOT-Watt University hopes to create new accommodation for 225 students, under plans lodged with the council this week.

The proposal will include car parking, ancillary works and landscaping at a site about 80 metres south of the current Lord Home Hall accommodation.

The university currently has about 1,600 rooms at its Edinburgh campus at Riccarton.
