University to host Syrians

STUDENTS from war-torn Syria have been invited to apply for scholarships at 
Edinburgh University.

Two postgraduate places have been made available and can be used for a Masters or postgraduate research in any subject offered by the university for the 2013-2014 academic year.

The full cost of tuition – more than £15,000 – will be paid for by the institution.

The scholarship will last one academic year for Masters students, and up to three years for PhD research students.

Preference will be given to candidates who have not already had the opportunity to study in Scotland.

The closing date for applications is March 1.
