Union's drive for members

THE trade union at the centre of Edinburgh's bin dispute is to hold a recruitment fair in the city council's headquarters.

Unite will be on the hunt for new members at Waverley Court on February 8. Union leaders will have a stall at the main courtyard from 12.15pm until 1.45pm.

The union has been in dispute with the council for more than 18 months since bin men started a work-to-rule in response to changes to their contracts.
