Union set for Capital conference

TRADE union Unite is tonight set to hold a mass meeting in the Capital.

The meeting is to be chaired by Derek Simpson, the joint general secretary, who will retire later this year.

Among the topics discussed will be the political role of Unite in the 21st century.

The meeting, which starts at 6pm at the City Chambers, is open to all Unite members.
