Uni is all good for All Blacks

THE New Zealand rugby team have heaped praise on Edinburgh University's Centre for Sport and Exercise (CSE) after using the facility to train for their clash against Scotland.

The All Blacks said the facilities were the best they had ever trained in after using the Holyrood Road centre ahead of their 49-3 win at Murrayfield.

The team trained at the CSE, as well as the university's Peffermill playing fields and at St Leonard's Land, in their build-up to the Test match against Scotland at Murrayfield last Saturday.

Strength and conditioning coach Nick Gill said: "The biggest advantage is the equipment and the fact that everything we wanted to do, we could do. We weren't restricted by the equipment.

"The technology they've got is absolutely outstanding. They're great facilities."

Full-back Mils Muliaina, who has 91 caps for the All Blacks, said the CSE had been a "fantastic" place to train.
