Ultimate response from Dundee dress designer

THE Scots fashion designer who resigned in acrimony as creative director for lingerie entrepreneur Michelle Mone has returned to the catwalk with his latest collection unveiled at Berlin Fashion Week.

Dundee-born Brian Rennie, who made pop star Jennifer Lopez's wedding gown, was involved in a public spat with Ms Mone, who accused him of being unable to translate his designs into actual dresses for the high street.

Following his departure from her Ultimo label in February this year, Mr Rennie assumed the post of creative director and managing director of design for Basler Fashion GmbH.

The new collection, unveiled on Wednesday night is said by the designer to reflect the "innate sensuality of the feminine silhouette, using beautiful colour, prints and luxurious materials".

Mr Rennie is well known in international fashion circles, where he has designed gowns for Halle Berry, Kim Basinger and dressed celebrities such as Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Jessica Alba, Paris Hilton and Jerry Hall.
