UK now 'a nation of indeciders' claims study

BRITAIN is a nation of "indeciders", unable to make a decision because they are crippled by too much choice, a study claims.

The report reveals that nearly half of all those questioned (47 per cent) are overwhelmed by choice, hindering the ability to make quick, confident decisions.

The 'Confused Nation' report by the University of Bristol and Confused.com identified people they called the 'indeciders' — "a group of individuals suffering high levels of confusion whilst displaying an inability to be decisive, leading in some cases to depression".

Professor Harriet Bradley said: "With a constant stream of new media, daily technological advancements and aggressive multimedia advertising, it's no wonder over half of Britain thinks life is more confusing for them than it is for their parents. We really are becoming a nation of 'indeciders'."

Politics is the area people find most confusing, with 65 per cent reporting being baffled by the policies of the major parties.
