World Cup 'would net £3.2bn economy boost'

THE economy would be boosted by £3.2 billion if England hosts the 2018 football World Cup, some of the country's best-known business leaders said today.

Setting out the economic case for England's bid, Lord Sugar and British Airways boss Willie Walsh said landing the tournament would have "huge benefits nationwide".
