SCOTLAND Yard yesterday made a tenth arrest as part of its investigation into the killing of Drummer Lee Rigby.

A 50-year old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder yesterday afternoon by the Metropolitan Police in Welling, south-east London. He was held in custody, and an address was being searched in the area.

The latest arrest comes after Scotland Yard announced that three men who were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the 25-year-old’s death had been released on bail.

Michael Adebolajo, 28, and 22-year-old Michael Adebowale were arrested at the scene in Woolwich and are being held under armed guard at separate hospitals in London on suspicion of murder. They are both in a stable condition, after being shot and wounded by police shortly after the killing.

A 29-year-old arrested on Thursday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder has also been bailed pending further inquiries. A 22-year-old man held in north London on Sunday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder remains in custody.
