Women hit hardest by cuts

WOMEN workers would be hardest hit by cuts in public spending, suffering more job losses and reductions in their income, a new report warned today.

The TUC said more women faced losing their jobs because twice as many were employed in the public sector, which is expected to face big spending cuts after the general election.
