Woman on MP stab charge

A 21-YEAR-OLD woman was due in court today charged with the attempted murder of Labour MP Stephen Timms.

The 54-year-old former Treasury minister was stabbed twice in the stomach during a constituency surgery in east London on Friday.

He is recovering in hospital following surgery.
