Woman freed after being trapped by falling sign

Devon: A woman was freed by passers-by from beneath a nightclub's 30ft-long sign after it fell on top of her, police said.

A motorist saw the 2.5ft-high wooden sign fall from the Reflex club in Plymouth, on Saturday, trapping her beneath.

She was treated in hospital for a large cut to her head and later released.

Staffordshire: A teenager thought to have fallen through the roof of his school was in a critical condition in hospital today, police said.

The 16-year-old boy was found in the grounds of Clayton High School with serious head injuries on Sunday evening.
