First Minister’s Questions will be held at 12:30pm today (Wednesday, March 24).

What will Nicola Sturgeon say?

Ms Sturgeon will begin FMQs by sharing the latest figures for Covid-19 in Scotland.

On Tuesday, the First Minister said she would have resigned had she been found to have broken the ministerial code, but said she would not be “bullied” out of her position as she defeated an attempt to oust her.

Ms Sturgeon faced a vote of no confidence, brought by the Scottish Tories, who claim she misled parliament and ignored legal advice.

But the vote fell by 65 votes to 31 with 27 abstentions.

Scottish Tory Holyrood leader, Ruth Davidson, said the First Minister had been found to have misled parliament and the “honourable” thing to do after the publication of Tuesday’s report would be to step down.

You can sure this will be the hot topic once more at the last FMQs before the Scottish Parliament breaks for the election campaign.

Ms Sturgeon is also taking a step back from the Scottish Government’s regular coronavirus briefings during the run up to May’s Holyrood election.

The SNP leader said she does not want to “abuse” her position as First Minister, so will withdraw from the broadcasts. She will, however, still make appearances for major announcements.
