Weevils alert sees bags of Butterkist recalled

PACKETS of popcorn were recalled after it was discovered that they could be infested with weevils.

The tiny insects were found in three batches of Butterkist Sweet Microwave multipack popcorn and one batch of Butterkist Sweet Microwave single pack popcorn.

The manufacturers insist the problem poses no health risk.
