Watchdog to probe phone card company

PRE-PAID phone card firm Lycatel is being investigated by the telecoms regulator following a series of complaints.

Ofcom said the inquiry will focus on the terms and conditions of Lycatel's cards, as well as the company's advertising practices. It is thought the inquiry follows allegations that Lycatel – whose service spans 16 countries – has been levying hidden charges on cards.
