Tributes paid to drinks magnate

Tributes have been paid to the founder of one of Britain’s biggest independent drinks firms, who died at the weekend.

John Halewood, 64, chief executive and major shareholder of Halewood International, was hailed as a “visionary entrepreneur” for transforming brands such as Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer into household names.
