Trial of union pair for theft begins

A JURY has been sworn in to try two men accused of stealing over £148,000 from a miners’ charity and a nursing home.

Neil Greatrex and Mick Stevens, the former president and Nottinghamshire general secretary of the Union of Democratic Mineworkers, both deny 14 counts of theft.
