Trial of Labour MP accused of assaulting Yes supporter adjourned

The trial of a Labour MP accused of kicking a 'Yes' campaigner on the day of the independence referendum has been adjourned until November.

Marie Rimmer, 69, MP for St Helens South and Whiston, denies assaulting Patricia McLeish outside Glasgow’s Shettleston Community Centre on 18 September 2014.

She also denies behaving in an abusive manner towards other Yes campaigners.
