Tory MP meets Holyrood chiefs

A SENIOR Conservative held talks with Holyrood bosses yesterday over how a future Tory government at Westminster could work with the Scottish Parliament.

David Mundell, the shadow Scottish secretary, met Presiding Officer Alex Fergusson and Holyrood chief executive Paul Grice.

It comes in the wake of a pledge by UK Tory leader David Cameron to come to the Scottish Parliament and answer questions from MSPs if he becomes the next prime minister.

Mr Mundell, who is currently the only Scottish Conservative MP, described the talks as being "very fruitful".
