Tenth of Britons live beyond their means

ONE in ten people regularly spend more than they earn, relying on credit cards, overdrafts and loans to plug the gap.

Price comparison website uSwitch.com found that about 11 per cent of people spend more than they have coming in on a monthly basis, while 26 per cent just manage to break even.
