Teenager on trial charged with terror offences

County Durham: A teenager will go on trial today charged with two terrorism offences.

Nicky Davison, 19, denies two charges of possessing material containing information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing acts of terrorism.

Davison, who is on bail, will go on trial at Newcastle Crown Court.

Kent: The inquest into the death of a woman shot dead by a police marksman after a stand-off in the middle of a market town will resume today.

Ann Sanderson, 37, died from a single gunshot wound to the chest after being fired at by an officer in Sevenoaks in the early hours of 11 June, 2007.
