Teenage girl critically ill after takeaway shooting

A TEENAGE girl was in a critical condition in hospital today after being shot while waiting at a takeaway restaurant, police said.

The 16-year-old was shot in the neck at Hoxton Chicken and Pizza in Hoxton Street, Hackney, east London, at around 7pm yesterday.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "The girl had received a gunshot wound to the neck and was taken to hospital where she is in a critical condition."
