Teacher 'assaulted boy with glue stick'

AN ART teacher has gone on trial accused of causing a "relatively minor injury" to a pupil's thumb with a glue stick.

Lynda May, 54, of Neath, South Wales, was charged with assault after a police investigation last autumn. She denies the charge and says the boy's injury was accidental.
