Soup protest over food bank ‘scandal’

SOUP tins were piled up outside the Houses of Parliament yesterday to highlight the “scandal” of the huge increase in food banks.

Unite set up a food bank opposite Westminster as part of its campaign against impending welfare changes, which the union warned would force more people to rely on food parcels.
