Smoking not stubbed out

SALES of products designed to help smokers quit have soared in the past 12 months, but have done nothing to dent sales, according to a report today.

The Grocer said sales of quitting aids such as Niquitin and Nicotinell increased by 10 per cent to 97 million a year.

But tobacco sales rose more than 3 per cent.
