Sir Paul McCartney in Abbey Road hope

FORMER Beatle Sir Paul McCartney told of his hopes that the famous Abbey Road Studios could be saved after reportedly being put up for sale by owner EMI.

The record company is said to be hoping to raise tens of millions.

Sir Paul said: "It would be lovely if somebody could save it."
