‘Sick image’ man is held

A 25-year old man from England has been charged with posting offensive images on the internet after the doctored picture of a Scottish schoolgirl, shot dead by her boyfriend, appeared on a website, established in her memory.

Grampian Police launched an investigation in April after an altered image of Tomintoul schoolgirl Sophie Taylor, appeared on a Facebook page, set up in her memory.

A spokesman for Grampian Police confirmed yesterday: “A male from the Reading area was charged with posting offensive images on the internet relating to the death of Sophie Taylor.”
