60,000 people signed a petition calling for ITV2 to cancel a second series of the show Dapper Laughs: On The Pull, while 44 comedians also signed an open letter deploring his act.

With pressure mounting, O’Reilly appeared on Newsnight on November 11 where he appeared to express remorse for the character and proclaimed Dapper Laughs dead.

But the comedian has now performed a U-turn after a new video appeared on the Dapper Laughs YouTube channel.

In the two-minute skit, the character is instructed by God to leave heaven and return to the world. Upon returning, Dapper Laughs has a face-to-face exchange with O’Reilly before the fictional character proclaims his comeback.
