Sex attack on snatched girl

POLICE are investigating the "despicable" abduction and serious sexual assault of a ten-year-old girl.

The offender snatched the youngster off the street as she left a shop in Fleetwood, Lancashire on 9 May.

Detective Superintendent Kevin Toole, from Lancashire Constabulary's Force Major Investigation Team, said:

"The investigation is moving forward all the time.

"We are continuing to view hours of CCTV footage and are carrying out further house-to-house inquiries.

"This is a despicable attack on such a young innocent girl and the man responsible must be found and brought to justice."
