Severed thumb of missing man found

THE thumb of a missing man has been discovered in an London street by a member of the public, police said today.

The severed body part was found in Ilford, north-east London, last Wednesday and forensic tests showed it belonged to Mahmood Ahmad, who was reported missing on 7 March.
