Second man charged over city pub shooting

A SECOND man has appeared in court in connection with a shooting at a city pub.

The 24-year-old victim needed hospital treatment after the incident in the Jocks Lodge bar at around 8:30pm on Sunday.

He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with wounds to his legs and was later released.

The Crown Office said David Coutts, 20, from Edinburgh, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court charged with assault with intent to murder yesterday.

He made no plea and was remanded in custody. Another man was arrested earlier this week and appeared at court yesterday.
