Scouts praised for volunteering

TV ADVENTURER Bear Grylls has praised Scouts around Britain for volunteering to help better their communities.

Grylls, the UK’s chief Scout, has commended the youngsters who are planning to participate in Scout Community Week, which starts today.

Some of the 525,000 Scouts around the country are planning to perform tasks from removing graffiti to building habitats for rare bees to help their local area.

Grylls said: “It’s great to see so many young people volunteering to support others and provide help where it is needed.”
