Rugby chiefs check probe into star's buggy arrest

THE Welsh Rugby Union will today continue to monitor the progress of a police investigation after Welsh rugby star Andy Powell was arrested for driving a golf buggy after defeating Scotland on Saturday.

Back row forward Powell, 28, was arrested with another 28-year-old man in the early hours of yesterday morning at a service station near junction 33 of the M4. One of the men was subsequently charged with drink-driving but police would not confirm if it was Powell.
