Roger Waters is third highest paid music star

FORMER Pink Floyd star Roger Waters has been revealed as the world’s third highest-paid music star in the past year, behind Madonna and Bruce Springsteen.

The 69-year-old raked in about £14 million on the back of his The Wall live shows, in which he has staged Floyd’s 1979 album, according to Billboard magazine. He resumes the tour this summer with at least 25 dates in Europe.

Madonna earned £23m, mainly on the back of her MDNA Tour, while Springsteen drew £22m. Coldplay were ranked ninth in the magazine’s annual calculation, with takings of more than £11m.
