Rihanna puts her family before UK chat show

Chart star Rihanna has told fans she cancelled her trip to the UK so she could “spend time” with her family.

The Barbadian singer was due to appear on Graham Norton’s BBC1 chat show on Friday 15 June but pulled out this week.

She was scathing about reports that she was sick, telling fans on Twitter it was “Nonsense!”.

She said: “I pushed my trip to London back to go spend time with my family! Sorry kiddos.”

The star is also currently involved in a UK TV show for Sky Living to find a top fashion designer, the winner of which will create an outfit for her headline appearance at the Wireless Festival in London on 24 June.

Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts, who has her own make-up range, will front the series where promising designers will be challenged over the course of ten weeks to create outfits for musicians and celebrities.

Rihanna recently made her acting debut in Peter Berg’s sci- fi action adventure Battleship.
