Rihanna pips One Direction to No 1

RIHANNA has scooped top spot in the UK singles chart with her new track Diamonds.

She knocked last week’s  No 1, Gangnam Style by rapper Psy, to number two. Mid-week sales predicted it would be a straight fight between Rihanna and One Direction for chart supremacy, but the boy band’s Live While We’re Young entered in third place.
