Red letter days: Jubilee stamps show key moments from Queen’s 60-year reign

THIS set of stamps showing portraits of the Queen is to be issued to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Royal Mail said the eight stamps used archived photographs of significant royal moments, including the Queen’s first Christmas broadcast in 1957, Trooping the Colour in 1967 and the Golden Jubilee celebrations in 2002.

Moya Greene, the group’s chief executive, said: “The Diamond Jubilee, only the second in royal history, is a very important anniversary. The whole world’s attention will be drawn towards this special occasion. Royal Mail is honoured to have such an enduring relationship with the Queen.”
