Rare Aston Martin sportscar found after 30 years

IT IS one of the most rarest models of Aston Martin ever discovered.

But this rusting shell is all that is left of the 1949 sportscar, only the fourth can built by the British car manufacturer.

The 1949 Aston Martin Two-Litre Sports is one of just 15 ever made, and only nine are known to exist.

However, despite being much sought-after, the car has spent the last 30 years laying neglected in a garage.

It has been put up for sale for £100,000 - but will need £250,000 worth of repairs to restore it to its original condition.

Specialists at Aston Workshop have rescued the classic sports car from its Scottish owner David Brown with the plan of restoring it to its former glory.
