Two RAF fighter jets have been scrambled from RAF Lossiemouth in Moray this morning.

At around 10:30 on Thursday morning MIL_Radar, an air force monitoring twitter account, reported the RAF planes were shadowing two Russian aircraft off Scotland’s north coast.

The Ministry of Defence confirmed the incident was ongoing but would not comment further until it was over.
