Radio 2 gives DJ Pearce new Saturday night show

Dance DJ Dave Pearce has landed a regular Saturday night slot for Radio 2.

The presenter – who hosted his Dance Anthems programme on Radio 1 for more than a decade – will have a new two-hour show from April 14.

His new Dance Years programme will see him trawling his record collection for his favourite tracks

Pearce hosted a 13-week series on the evolution of dance genres for Radio 2 last year.

He said of the new programme: “The show will be like one big house party with me rummaging through my record crates. There are plenty of memorable tracks from my Radio 1 Dance Anthems days alongside some hidden gems from the 70s and 80s.”.
