£47,000 holiday for dogs goes on sale

One lucky dog will spend two weeks at the luxurious dog hotel - named the Paw Seasons - and will be treated to a host of luxury extras.

Spa treatments, manicures and pedicures are included, along with a personal chef for meal times and a selection of films, including 101 Dalmatians and Lassie.

Olympic hurdler Dai Greene will also take the lucky mutt for runs, whilst animal behaviour expert Stan Rawlinson will provide one-to-one puppy psychiatry sessions.

And the jewel in the canine crown is a ‘bespoke designer doghouse’ built to look like their owner’s.

Jenny Hytner-Marriott, founder of The Paw Seasons, said: “Being the leaders in luxury breaks for dogs, we wanted to be the first to offer the most spectacular luxury holiday a dog could wish for.”

The hotel, based in Long Ashton near Bristol, will also provide the lucky dog with a custom-made dog car mascot, a portrait of the pooch and a DVD of highlights of the vacation. Contained in a 400-year-old cottage and walled gardens, the hotel - which costs nearly £20,000 alone for the fortnight along with chef, chauffeur, Dai Greene, toys and treats, also provides limousine transfers and reiki healing sessions.
