£21,000 benefits con by lotto winner

A LOTTERY winner has been jailed for two months after falsely claiming benefits to care for his elderly father.

David Smith, 51, of Cheshire, claimed 21,700 between March 2005 and April last year but failed to declare a bank account into which he paid lottery winnings of 164,633 in 2005.
